“Dot” Gloucestershire Old Spots Pig

Breed status – Critically rare

The Gloucestershire Old Spots is a historic pig breed famous for its white coat with black spots and droopy ears that almost entirely covers their faces. The breed was developed in the Berkley Vale of Gloucestershire, England, in the 1800s and is a fine producer of flavorful bacon and ham. The breed is mild mannered and easy to manage on pasture or in orchards where they can fatten on windfall fruit.
